As we take time to give thanks for all we have, we at Chicago Volunteer Doulas (CVD) are very grateful for YOU. You have helped us offer birth and breastfeeding support to over 125 women and families from vulnerable communities this year. Thank you!

Whether you have liked or shared one of our Facebook posts, attended the Summer Soirée, made a direct donation, or you have been a doula for a birthing family, every single contribution you've made has been essential.

Now globally recognized, #GivingTuesday is a day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.), Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.

#GivingTuesday will also mark the start of our annual winter giving campaign along with a new addition of a virtual silent auction. So stay tuned! This campaign has become a staple in CVD's annual budget, made possible through generosity such as yours. Our goal is to raise $9,000 before we ring in January 2017. This is especially important as now more than ever in CVD’s existence, pregnant mothers and parents from vulnerable communities need allies like you in the struggle for birth justice.

We hope that we can count on you once again for your generous support in donating and in spreading the word to friends.
