CVD is so excited to announce our new relationship with two excellent individuals who come to us with exactly the kinds of experience and relationship CVD needs, rooted in birth work, Reproductive Justice, and Chicago-based community. Please join us in welcoming our new Executive Director, Lakeesha Harris and our new Program Director, Sandra Maldonado!

CVD's new Executive Director, Chicagoan Lakeesha Harris, is coming to us by way of New Orleans, Louisiana, where she recently served as the Co-Executive Director of Lift Louisiana. She is a seasoned doula and longtime activist for Reproductive Justice and human rights.	Our new Program Director, Sandra Maldonado, joins us as an experienced reproductive health worker at Chicago Women's Health Center (CWHC). She brings a commitment to providing affirming and respectful service to hopeful parents, and needed experience managing programs.

Our new team members have strong roots in Chicago's birth and Reproductive Justice communities, and are ready to move CVD into a new era of radical care and Healing Justice! This is an exciting time for CVD and Lakeesha and Sandra will be instrumental in strengthening our internal structures and deepening our support for doulas and families! Please join me in extending a joyful welcome to them, and stay tuned for opportunities to connect in the near future!
