I have two girls of my own and had drastically different experiences with each birth and postpartum experience. I realized from my own personal experiences how vital it is to be surrounded with the best support possible. Through dealing with infertility, loss, VBAC and breastfeeding struggles I found a passion and drive to give mothers the quality support and knowledge that was given to me in my positive birth and to make choices I truly felt were my own. I then trained with DONA international to pursue becoming a birth doula. I believes strongly in the healing power of placenta during the postpartum days and trained to become a placenta encapsulation specialist through PBI as well. I am now eager to provide you with 100% non-judgmental support and empowerment for your birth and assist you in any way I can to make your transition into motherhood as smooth as possible.

As your doula, my goal is to guide and support you to make informed choices about a birth that you feel good about. We will collaborate on education, advocacy, and support for a positive birth outcome. I am a Registered Prenatal Yoga teacher, and can include these services for you, too. Prenatal Yoga offers breath work, meditation, and physical postures that prepare the body and mind for birth. We will meet at least twice during your pregnancy, I will be with you throughout labor, for some time after the baby is born, and a postpartum visit. I am a breastfeeding advocate, and I also lead a Mom's Meet-Up because I believe that "it takes a village." I also believe every person has the right to professional support during labor. I work on a sliding scale, based on income and ability to pay.

Doula since 2006; I love first time parents!  I support any family in pursuing the birth options of their choice.  I'm a pretty non-granola doula - had my own epidural and enjoyed it quite a bit, so I have no judgments on what's in your birth plan.  My role is simply to provide information and emotional support throughout the journey.
